Planning the perfect day in Golden BC just got much easier!

Golden, B.C., Canada – We are excited to unveil the Tourism Golden Widget on our website with integrated mobile apps (IOS Download & Google Play), an interactive way to map out everything you don’t want to miss in Golden. Designed with our partners at Visit Widget, this tool provides a new immersive way to explore what the region through audio and video content, as well as detailed information on Golden’s accommodations, restaurants, activities, and much more. View it all at once or search by the category that best suits your interests.

“The new widget and mobile app allows the visitor to be more closely connected to Golden, and that’s just the beginning. says Joanne Sweeting of Tourism Golden. Visitors are able to see example itineraries on which they can build their ideal customized trip and engage in a fun rewarding in-destination contests connecting the visitor to our activities, attractions & businesses. We also aren’t stopping here, more development is underway to add even more capabilities later this year.”

Use both new features to get the most out of your trip. The desktop widget makes planning ahead easy while the Mobile App will ensure you don’t miss out on events and activities. See an event you don’t want to miss? Click “Join” and the event will be added to your plan. That restaurant everyone keeps telling you about? Click “Add to Plan” and you won’t forget to try it. Want to invite some friends? Share your plan with them directly or via social media, email or SMS. While you are in Golden event reminders keep you in touch with the community. Use the app's free GPS capabilities for arts and culture tours, and to know your exact location on the trails when mountain biking, snowmobiling and nordic skiing. 

No need to waste another sheet of paper - planning is now digital. With this planner, the Tourism Golden team can help you get organized and maximize your time. For those who prefer to use more traditional resources, the Tourism Golden website will continue to be your go-to source for everything Golden British Columbia and our Visitor Centre will re-open this spring for all in-person inquiries and national Parks pass purchases.
