Golden, B.C., Canada –Tourism Golden proudly announces its commitment to diversity by becoming Rainbow Registered through the Canadian Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC).

The Rainbow Registered designation is a testament to Tourism Golden's dedication to creating a destination that is welcoming and supportive of the LGBTQ+ community. This initiative reflects the organization's dedication to equality, diversity, and inclusivity, ensuring that everyone feels safe and celebrated when visiting the picturesque mountain town of Golden.

As a Rainbow Registered destination, Tourism Golden is joining a network of businesses and organizations across Canada that are committed to creating environments that are open, affirming, and free from discrimination. The CGLCC's rigorous certification process ensures that Rainbow Registered entities actively promote inclusivity and support diversity in all aspects of their operations.

Tourism Golden’s commitment to becoming a more inclusive destination extends to supporting the local business community. Tourism Golden will provide resources, guidance and a subsidy to local businesses interested in obtaining the Rainbow Registered designation through the CGLCC. By doing so, the organization aims to create a ripple effect, fostering an inclusive atmosphere throughout the entire community.

The resources provided by Tourism Golden will include access to sample policies and practices, training sessions, and other supports to guide businesses through the Rainbow Registered certification process. This initiative underscores the organization's dedication to being a catalyst for positive change within the community.

Tourism Golden invites all businesses in the area to join the movement towards a more inclusive destination. Together, we can build a community that celebrates diversity and fosters an environment where everyone feels valued and accepted.
