Gorman Lake
Hike to a beautiful alpine lake through a forest, across a boggy section with boardwalks and a climb through a rock field. Watch for wildlife including grizzly and black bears, particularly in the late summer and fall. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout.
Access via Gorman FSR off Golf Course Road. The road is 17 km along a very rough and narrow logging road with large potholes which may be snowbound until July. A high clearance vehicle is essential. Active logging may be in place at any time so watch for logging trucks. There is no cell phone reception along most of the road, so it is critical you are prepared accordingly. Park at the road bridge and proceed from there on foot.
